Work Experience
I've worked as a Design Engineer in RITES Ltd., a Government Company in Delhi, India (June2002-August2003). These are the things that I did there:
· Completed survey, alignment, geometric design, pavement design, cross-section drawings; and assisted my supervisor for execution of a part of National Highway Project(I did it for 50.8km).
· Prepared Project Reports and EIS to comply with ISO14001 for the National Highway Network in the Gujarat Section, for the stretch of 50.8 km
· In a conference at Jaipur Development Authority, Jaipur, India, on the behalf of RITES I made the presentation for acquiring Global Tenders for the Jaipur-city development in competition with leading multinational companies.

Interest
Science & Engineering is my favorite. So I chose the Science after High School; and Engineering for undergraduation. Civil engineering provides people with ~70% of comfort. So I CHOSE (over mechanical or computer engineering) to comfort people, the most. Energy transformations associated in Civil and Transportation Engineering are maximum. ...The area which impacts environment the most. I chose the profession of the cleaners of the spaceship-"Earth". I'm doing M. S. in Environmental Engineering. Transportation Engineering is also my 'love'. Before M. S., I worked for RITES which deepened my interest in Transportation and it's seamless integration with Environmental Engineering. This kind of a job makes an ideal opportunity for me. ...& as a golden rule I give back more than I receive. Companies deserve "Value for Money" & I offer it more than expectations.

Dear Sir,
I came to know from the internet that you have a suitable job for my profile.
I have worked as a Design Engineer in RITES (the qualitatively topmost Civil Engineering firm in India with 27 divisions ranging from Dams to Roads & Airport to Housing) for a year before I came to Texas A & M University (TAMU). That work experience with ISO 9000&14000 complying company helped me a lot in my 'skill and practical knowledge' development. This experience also added a good professional touch to my work. RITES had allowed my innovative designs, models and simulations to be executed in real life.
My responsibilities included mostly air quality effects due to newly built road networks in Metro-cities and on National Highways. Similarly for "to be built" projects I had worked for "Environmental Impact Statements preparation", "Detailed Assessment Studies" and "ISO 14001 compliance reports"(Air, Water, Forests & Land). I had even set up some "template programs" for monitoring and data processing for pollution measurement. Later on, all someone had to do was: just some minor changes in the framework or alter the input parameters.
I had two opportunities of international tender filing (as: a help to my manager & personal growth). & once I've done "presentation" for acquiring one International tender". The company had shown confidence in me and I had worked really hard and the end product was good. We won the tender. The tender for infrastructural development of the City of Jaipur (That Indian city from the James Bond movie "Octopussy"). 4M$ equivalent work. My dream had come true ... I could handle the responsibility. I felt proud but I knew that without the extreme help and support from my peers and Boss I could have hardly done that.
...But the point is I had really worked hard. (& English speaking helps!)
I acquire the information that I need. I don't blindly follow the things without understanding. I did not even believe the value of "Pi" to be "3.1415926535" until I "found out" myself. My passion for excellence doesn’t let me stay inactive. ...Mathematical modeling, basic programming etc. were must but along with that I learned ISO norms, LEED (Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design) parameters and statistical tools which helped me have some competitive edge over the others.
Normal softwares, C, C++ and VB made me programming guy when needed. ...And now, the added knowledge by some special courses like Environmental Management (& Laws), Sustainable Development, Risk Assessment and alike - during studies at TAMU, make some value addition for working in the USA. ...For working excellently. I believe in hard work, but that should be lively, without zombification to any extent. I follow that.
"Humility. To technical expertise, add humility and compassion. Do unto others as you would want be done by." ...was the thing my Teacher had told me once. I believed. & now... I find myself compatible with almost everyone. People are happy to talk & reveal to me. I feel good. The only problem I feel sometimes is: Would I get superiority complex for being so humble?
Well,
About Tech-wiz-ness and personal-goodness RITES' technical and HR people have examined me too well. So you can directly save on that front. ... Because if they think I'm within top 50 engineers in India, surely I'm worth for your company too.
"Potential" & "Willingness to use it" ... you'll find in me.
Try Test Adopt Improvise & Verify: That's what you'll like in me.
Should all these interest you, please have a look at my attached resume (BioLog).
...I'd love to be under the gratitude of your consideration.
...Looking forward for an interview.
Thank You for investing time to read this.
